Assistant Controller, Alternative Energy Startup

About the Company and Role Kforce's client, an Alternative Energy startup (Series B) headquartered in Hoboken, NJ, is seeking its first in‑house Accounting Senior Manager/Assistant Controller. Over the next few years, you will bring accounting and reporting in‑house, leading the effort and putting your stamp on the accounting department and the company. Responsibilities Month‑end close General ledger Account analysis and reconciliation Budget and variance analysis Management of treasury Support audits Improve accounting processes by advancing automation Financial reporting Financial statement preparation Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting Master's degree a plus CPA a plus Over 6 years of experience Experience as an accountant or auditor in the Alternative Energy, Solar, and/or Wind Industries Experience as a Manager Multi‑entity accounting experience a plus Cost accounting a plus Benefits Medical/dental/vision insurance
