This full-time position involves working remotely, providing critical mental health counseling and support primarily within a school setting. Work Environment\n

This role is predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring access to necessary resources and supports. Our work culture is rooted in collaboration and mutual respect, with a focus on teamwork and open communication. Despite the remote nature of this position, therapists will have frequent interaction with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential flexibility based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate individual needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical findings and client goals, employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at empowering clients and fostering community among participants.

• Engage in regular case consultations with fellow team members to discuss client progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and safety planning as required.

• Educate clients and families about mental health disorders, available resources, and optimal treatment paths to enhance their understanding and engagement.

• Maintain precise, objective, and confidential records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and stay updated with the latest research to inform best practices in mental health counseling.

This role primarily serves students within school settings, which requires an understanding of the unique challenges and experiences faced by children and adolescents. Therapists will need to address issues such as academic stress, social anxiety, family dynamics, and emotional regulation, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for students to discuss their mental health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential for practice.

• Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Solid experience conducting mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse populations.

• Strong professional judgment and adherence to established ethical standards and boundaries.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
