Associate Director, US Launch Excellence

Merck

Merck seeks an Associate Director to serve as the commercial launch partner for US Oncology, focusing on hematology portfolio launches. The role bridges strategy and execution, orchestrating cross-functional launch planning, readiness assessment, and risk management while influencing without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Lead integrated launch planning and readiness assessment across core and extended workstreams
Partner with marketing leadership to translate strategy into coordinated launch plans with clear milestones and dependencies
Proactively identify critical paths, risks, assumptions and cross-functional dependencies; facilitate mitigation discussions
Design and facilitate launch team meetings and readiness forums to drive alignment, decisions and accountability
Capture launch learnings and practices to strengthen future Oncology and Human Health launches

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Biotechnology, or related field
Minimum 5 years commercial experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences consulting
Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and translate into executable cross-functional plans
Strong program and project management with multiple complex initiatives and interdependencies
Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across functions
Excellent written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills
Willingness to travel for business meetings and conferences
