Associate Director, Learning & Development - Oncology
Merck
Merck seeks an Associate Director of Learning & Development for its Oncology Business Unit to serve as a strategic advisor enabling business goals through workforce capability development. The role involves translating business priorities into learning strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing program design and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary learning and development advisor to Oncology Business Unit leaders
- Develop and align learning strategies with identified capability gaps and business objectives
- Partner with curriculum design teams to create relevant, modern learning experiences
- Measure program effectiveness against defined metrics and continuously improve solutions
- Coordinate with HR and internal L&D partners to integrate learning with talent initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum 10 years of learning and development or related experience
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to engage with mid-level leaders
- Expertise in learning needs analysis and adult learning principles
- Strong data analytics skills for measuring program impact and outcomes
- Project management experience across operational, tactical, and strategic planning
- Excellent oral and written communication with executive-level presentation skills
