The Role The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and administration of the company's total rewards programs to attract and retain the best talent. This role will be responsible for overseeing benefits, 401(k) administration, leave of absence programs, reasonable accommodation process, and reward and recognition programs. What You Will Do Oversee benefits programs: Manages all aspects of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as wellness initiatives. Manage retirement plans: Administers the company’s 401(k) plan, including communication, enrollment, and vendor oversight. Lead open enrollment: Responsible for overseeing the annual benefits open enrollment process, managing renewals, vendor negotiations, and employee communications. Administer leave of absence programs: Oversees all aspects of employee leave administration, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term disability, long-term disability, military leave, paid and unpaid state leave programs, and other protected leaves. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, coordinates with third-party administrators, ensures timely documentation and communication, and maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local leave laws. Manage the reasonable accommodation process: Leads the interactive process for workplace accommodation requests, partnering with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and legal counsel as appropriate to evaluate requests, identify effective accommodations, document decisions, and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and state laws. Employee education: Develops and delivers communications and presentations to help employees and managers understand the company's benefit offerings. Oversee Reward & Recognition Programs: Assists with the design and administration of various reward and recognition programs. Ensure legal compliance: Monitors and ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing benefits, such as the FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA. Manage reporting: Handles required regulatory filings and audit projects related to company’s benefits and retirement plans. Manage vendors: Evaluates and oversees third-party relationships with benefits vendors and brokers. What You Will Bring A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, including progressive experience in the design, implementation and administration of benefits, 401(k) plan administration and total rewards programs Knowledge of employee benefits law and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and emerging regulatory issues required Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and project management skills Ability to confidentially and professionally handle sensitive material and processes Employment Type: Regular, full-time Salary Type: Salaried, exempt Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 Work Location: Hybrid based out of our Burr Ridge, IL headquarters Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Why Join Our Team?
