In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Responsible for performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department's general ledger. Is also in-charge of resolving complex accounting issues resulting from routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
• Manages a team of accountants and/or a complex process that interacts with multiple individuals outside of the department.
• Ensures the timely recording, analyzing and reporting of accounting transactions.
• Reviews general ledger entries, account reconciliations, internal and external reports, schedules and statements.
• Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
• Reviews existing internal controls on a regular basis and develops new internal controls as necessary.
• Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Implements new accounting standards.
• Provides training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Financial Internal Controls - Leverages internal control framework by assessing internal controls and developing remediation plans to mitigate financial reporting risks and respond to changing business needs.
• Financial Regulations Acumen - Evaluates applicable regulations for the financial area of focus, such as tax, banking, pension, local accounting to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations; explains key requirements and purpose of regulations and implications to the business to inform and educate relevant stakeholders.
• Financial Reporting - Analyzes financial data by evaluating results and solutions to support business decisions; prepares and presents financial information by summarizing data to communicate results in compliance with regulations and stakeholder expectations; partners with stakeholders to drive financial performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies.
• US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Evaluates US accounting standards to record transactions in compliance with requirements and company policies; assesses the accounting requirements and objectives to determine the implications on the business and communicate to stakeholders with varying financial knowledge.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.

Experience

• Significant experience required, including supervisory experience.
• Responsible for assisting the Accounting Director in performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department's general ledger. Also, in-charge of resolving complex accounting issues resulting from routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
• Assists the Accounting Director with monthly close tasks including BS reviews, compliance submissions, etc.
• Responsible for managing key projects based on risk as determined by the Accounting Director.

Salary range is $100,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after taking into account relevant factors, including Compensation and Benefits
