Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for students, focusing on their mental health, substance use, and medical needs while ensuring that your evaluations are age-appropriate and culturally sensitive.

• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions for students, parents, and families, encompassing a wide range of therapeutic methods from intervention planning to crisis management and resource referrals.
\n
• Act as a liaison between students and local resources, including community agencies and medication assistance programs, to facilitate continuous support for their mental health needs.
\n
• Document progress notes, mental health evaluations, and suicide risk assessments electronically in compliance with organizational protocols, ensuring that all patient records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Work collaboratively with Quality Improvement teams to create processes for data collection that measure treatment outcomes and client satisfaction, advancing our commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be school-aged children and adolescents, including their families. You will be entrusted with aiding students who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or challenges associated with school stressors. By establishing a trusting relationship, you will empower these young individuals to express their feelings, develop coping strategies, and enhance their mental well-being, ensuring that mental health remains a pivotal component of their academic journey.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New York State.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required, accompanied by a minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience.

• Demonstrable knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and independent judgement to provide effective direct services is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in school settings or with child and adolescent populations is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

At Thrive Mental Health Services, we believe in rewarding our team for their hard work and dedication. The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
