Overview Sales Director – National Security Sector Remote — Candidate must be based near a major US Airport Company Description Our client transforms Defense Acquisition from an outdated manual process to a software-driven strategic advantage for the United States. Their flagship product supports Supply Chain, Science and Technology, Production, Sustainment, and Modernization teams with AI-enabled applications and best-in-class data to more rapidly imagine, develop, and field the capabilities needed. The national security community and every branch of the military rely on our client to enable faster and more informed Acquisition decisions. Job Description As a member of our client’s Sales team, you will develop, qualify, and sell their products and services while maintaining sales relationships across the national security sector of the U.S. Federal Government. This role provides the opportunity to make an immediate and measurable impact on revenue growth while contributing to meaningful work that supports national security. As a dynamic and influential sales professional, you will engage and excite clients, compelling them to work with our client. You possess a natural leadership presence, a successful track record in selling technology to the government (particularly within the national security enterprise), and outstanding business acumen, paired with a deep understanding of the industry and a strong aptitude for technology. Responsibilities Own end-to-end new business opportunities, from lead generation to deal closure. Personally source, shape, and properly qualify new business opportunities. Manage complex sales cycles from opportunity identification to contract closure across multiple opportunities. Develop, maintain, and execute account plans for national security clients and prospects. Present business solutions at the executive level and promote our client’s offerings across the Federal/national security marketplace. Define and present compelling, customized value propositions and demonstrate our client’s technology and solutions to prospects and clients. Use Salesforce to manage all aspects of prospecting, opportunity management, forecasting, client communications, contacts, activities, and tasks. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required. Experience closing 7-figure accounts. 5-10+ years of experience working within the national defense/defense technology ecosystem. Familiarity with the Pentagon and navigating the DoD to identify decision makers on day 1. 3+ years of experience meeting and exceeding revenue goals in a technology sales environment, with a proven ability to close large and complex deals. Demonstrated success in new account development. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and dedication to doing what’s best for the business. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment. Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one with sponsorship. Experience in or exposure to a startup or entrepreneurial environment. Familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes, especially budgeting, acquisition, and procurement. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
