This position is conducted entirely through telehealth, ensuring flexibility and ease of access for both clients and therapists. You will engage with clients during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and empathetic assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that address each client’s needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored specifically for mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and valuable self-care strategies to encourage proactive mental health management.

• Regularly monitor and track clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and ensure client safety.

• Stay informed about the latest research and innovative practices in the field of mental health to continually refine therapeutic techniques and outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on helping individuals managing various mood disorders. Your clients may range from adolescents facing challenges with depression and anxiety to adults struggling with bipolar disorder or chronic stress. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
