Work Environment\n

This role operates within a remote setting, allowing for great flexibility while working primarily from your home office. The community health clinic adopts a collaborative model in which licensed counselors work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, psychiatrists, and social workers. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the specific mental health needs of each client, and develop personalized treatment plans to address those needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities for individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting techniques to suit the diverse backgrounds and needs of our clients.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, working alongside case managers and psychiatrists to ensure the smooth coordination of care for each client, including medication management when necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support for clients experiencing acute mental health distress, ensuring timely responses to emergencies.
\n
• Participate in community outreach programs and educational initiatives that promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction within the communities we serve.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds. Our patients range from children to seniors, each dealing with unique mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health disorders. Your work will directly contribute to improved outcomes in mental health for these individuals, making our community more resilient and healthy.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid California license as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with clients and other team members.

• Demonstrated cultural competence, with the ability to connect and engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain comprehensive documentation and comply with local regulations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in community mental health settings or similar environments.

• Training and experience in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
