As an unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide courteous communication to residents, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the shelter location, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting incidents to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift-related documentation while communicating relevant information to incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess CPR certification, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
