Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Area Security in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate emergency personnel. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Have at least one year of security-related experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
