As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff at a government-operated housing services location while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, residents, visitors, and responding public service agencies when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
