Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental, emotional, and behavioral health from initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate and assess clients’ mental health conditions to inform the development of personalized intervention and recovery plans.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to promote mental wellness and recovery.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey and adjust interventions as needed to support optimal therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Provide follow-up care for clients transitioning from higher levels of care, ensuring seamless communication with involved parties.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to address these challenges proactively.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health issues, enhancing the support system around clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients may present with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties, to more complex psychological conditions. The ability to address unique cultural and community contexts will be essential in delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for client management and documentation.
\n
• Solid understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Knowledge of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health treatment.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
