Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Telemetry to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to telemetry patients, managing cardiac monitors and equipment effectively.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and communicate needs efficiently to the healthcare team.
• Conduct pass/fail SIMs Lab for various procedures including Foley catheter insertion, with attention to maintaining a sterile field.
• Titrate medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips according to physician orders.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides for optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments with high patient turnover, ensuring precise medication administration and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a telemetry or neuro unit preferred; level 1 trauma experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
• Able to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance; must maintain competencies in sterile field techniques.
• Proficiency with EKG interpretation and familiarity with Cerner EMR.
• Available for night shifts, including 4 weekend shifts in 8 weeks and holidays as required.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to float to various units as needed.
