GATE ATTENDANT
$17.00/HOUR: A customer‑service based position that involves greeting visitors, selling park passes, answering phones, counting cash receipts, and providing information to the public. Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relations skills. Work leader responsibilities over entrance attendants. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a current & valid driver’s license or reliable transportation. Employee may be required to purchase limited uniform items at own expense. Applicants may be subject to a comprehensive background check. Must be willing and able to work 20 hours per week. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be available to work varied shifts morning and evenings. Preference may be given to applicants with or working toward a Natural Resources degree or similar education. Previous experience handling money and working with the public is preferred or required. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills to deliver excellent customer service. At least 2 years of professional experience in a customer‑service setting. Basic computer skills required or preferred (MS Office Suite, Google App Suite). Ability to work with limited supervision and work well within a team. Must be willing and able to climb in and out of vessels and under trailers to perform job functions. Must be willing and able to work outside, which may involve inclement weather.VISITOR SERVICES

Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relations skills. Staff the park entrance station and/or the visitor center. Provide information and assistance to visitors (distribute maps/brochures, orient visitors to park facilities and amenities, promote education programs, educate on State Park regulations, etc.). Provide information to the boating and non‑boating public. Sell park passes, permits, books, maps, clothing and other novelties. May sell gift certificates, search and rescue cards, boat registrations, OHV registrations, snowmobile registrations, fishing and hunting licenses. Operate a cash register. Answer telephones and transfer/take messages. Photo‑copy and file documents. Collect revenue, complete shift report and balance shift box at end of each shift. May prepare campground reservation forms and documents. May document and report visitor complaints. Perform cleaning and light maintenance duties of interior and exterior of gates, visitor center and/or offices, including litter pick up. May assist with special events or programs within the park. Other duties as assigned.OFFICE AID
$17.00/HOUR: This position sells a variety of state park passes, hunting and fishing licenses, and other CPW products and retail items. This position is a main line of contact for all visitors and responds to telephone inquiries as well as questions regarding hunting, fishing and park use regulations, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) in general. This position is up to 24 hours per week and up to six months in duration. School schedules can be accommodated. Staff the visitor center. Provide information and assistance to visitors (distribute maps/brochures, orient visitors to park facilities and amenities, promote education programs, educate on State Park regulations, etc.). $17.00–$19.00/HOUR: Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including restrooms, vault toilets, picnic areas, day‑use sites, trails, etc. Operates and performs routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment. Provides and ensures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness and provides information and assistance to visitors. May also assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, general landscape duties and transporting materials and supplies and performs other duties as assigned. Operate and perform routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment. Assure quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness. Provide information and assistance to visitors. Landscaping, trail work. Perform weed spraying. Operate mowers, chainsaw, trimmers, small engines, OHV and other equipment. Hitch and tow trailers. May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Lifting 50 lb and possibly standing for 4 hours straight on busy days. Basic Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to work outdoors and on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Must be able to climb in and out of vessels, and under trailers. Successful completion and passing of background screening may be required for placement in this position. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral). Ability to work with little supervision. May be required to work at the ANS station for an 8 hour shift and take lunch at the station. This position is up to 20–24 hours per week and up to six months in duration. School schedules may be accommodated. Some uniform items will be provided, however, employees may be required to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense.
