TEMPORARY 2026 Seasonal Employee - St. Vrain State Park

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION (9 MONTHS OR LESS) - PAYING $18.00 PER HOUR Employment starts 04/01/2026 through 10/31/2026. This position is up to 40 hours per week and may be adjusted for school schedules. Responsibilities Staff the park entrance station. Provide information and assistance to visitors, distribute maps and brochures, orient visitors to park facilities, promote education programs, and educate on State Park regulations. Provide information to the boating and non‑boating public. Sell parks passes, permits, books, maps, clothing, firewood and other novelties. Sell gift certificates, search and rescue cards, boat registrations, OHV registrations and snowmobile registrations, fishing and hunting licenses at some locations. Operate a computer Point of Sales system. Answer telephones and transfer or take messages. Photo‑copy and file documents. Collect revenue, complete shift reports, and balance shift box at end of each shift. Prepare campground reservation forms and documents. Document and report visitor complaints. Perform cleaning and light maintenance of interior and exterior of entrance station and offices, including litter pick‑up. Assist with special events or programs within the park. Qualifications At least 16 years of age. Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Previous experience handling money and working with the public is helpful. Comfort and experience with computers, specifically Point of Sales programs. May need to undergo a criminal background investigation. Successful completion and passing of background screening may be required for placement. Physical Requirements This position requires considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
