Work Environment

The position is primarily based onsite at our hospital setting, ensuring that you have access to essential resources and facilities to assist in your daily tasks. You will be working alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, within a fully equipped rehabilitation clinic that encourages collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment protocols for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and stretches, ensuring correct techniques are applied to facilitate recovery and promote physical well-being.
• Educate patients and their families on body mechanics and home exercise programs to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Under supervision, utilize various therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapies to enhance patient care.
• Monitor, document, and assess patient progress in accordance with treatment goals, including evaluating outcomes such as range of motion improvements and strength gains.
• Prepare treatment environments and ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are organized, accessible, and functional for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care effectively and develop seamless treatment transitions for optimal outcomes.
• Provide empathetic emotional support to patients, fostering a positive rehabilitation atmosphere that encourages motivation and resilience.
• Maintain compliance with ethical, professional, and regulatory standards, keeping all patient information confidential and ensuring privacy at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, sports-related injuries, and age-related conditions affecting mobility. Each patient presents unique challenges, and as a PTA, you will tailor your approach to meet their individual rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and the principles of therapeutic interventions within physical therapy.
• Proficient in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities, under supervision, to assist in patient recovery pathways.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with strong rapport-building skills with both patients and fellow team members.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating a commitment to empowering patients to achieve their rehabilitation objectives.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
