About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Locums Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative neurosurgery team and provide post-procedural care to adult and geriatric patients.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Weekend Requirements: None

• Setting: 100% inpatient

• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide post-procedural daily patient care

• Perform inpatient rounding and ongoing patient management

• Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment plans and care

• Provide patient and family education

• Collaborate closely with the neurosurgery team

• Work alongside an employed Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

• Participate in call coverage as required

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

• Active Virginia license required at the time of submission

• Candidates needing to obtain a Virginia license will not be considered

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Active DEA required
