Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through virtual consultations, documenting each session to create detailed case histories.

• Formulating and implementing tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on the unique needs and goals of each client.

• Facilitating virtual therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities, and adjusting techniques in real-time to enhance engagement and therapeutic outcomes.

• Monitoring client progress against established treatment goals and making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.

• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Following up with healthcare providers regarding clients transitioning to or from inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identifying potential setbacks or behaviors that hinder recovery and implementing proactive strategies to support clients in overcoming these challenges.

• Supporting family members and caregivers by providing guidance and educational resources to help them understand and manage mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse client population, including adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction disorders. Your expertise in telehealth will empower you to connect with individuals who may not have previously sought mental health services. You will deliver culturally competent care, adapting your strategies to meet the specific cultural and individual needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated success in passing the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous clinical experience as a mental health counselor with a strong foundation in psychotherapy.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with experience working with platforms such as AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, alongside experience addressing addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology, particularly the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal dynamics that foster therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
