Job Description: The Business Development Manger serves as a key member of the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence (NCE) at Curry College and is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and advancing the Center's external engagement efforts. This position leads business development initiatives for the Center's portfolio of professional development programs, executive functioning offerings, consultations, sponsored projects, workforce initiatives, and customized training solutions. Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the Business Development Manager identifies, develops, and manages relationships with corporate, nonprofit, educational, healthcare, government, and community partners. The Business Development Manager manages the full sales cycle, from prospect identification and outreach through proposal development, contract negotiation, and account management. This role works collaboratively with Center leadership, faculty experts, and operational staff to develop tailored solutions that address client needs while advancing the mission and strategic goals of the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, consultative sales, account management, partnership development, or a related field, with demonstrated success generating revenue, cultivating long-term partnerships, and managing complex stakeholder relationships. - Drive revenue growth through the sale of Neurodiversity Center programs and services, including professional development, executive functioning offerings, consultations, sponsored projects, and customized initiatives.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospect identification and outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Meet or exceed annual revenue and partnership targets aligned with Center and institutional goals.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of institutional, corporate, nonprofit, and community partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managed accounts, ensuring partner satisfaction and long-term relationship growth.
- Identify opportunities for partnership expansion, renewals, and multi-year engagements.
- Develop strategies to increase partner retention and revenue growth.
- Develop targeted outreach strategies for higher education, K-12, workforce development, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporate audiences.
- Represent the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence at conferences, meetings, networking events, site visits, and presentations.
- Conduct market research and identify emerging partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with Center leadership to refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
- Engage prospective partners in needs-based conversations to understand organizational priorities, challenges, and goals.
- Translate Center offerings into customized solutions aligned with client objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Partner with Center staff, faculty, and subject matter experts to develop proposals, scopes of work, and service agreements.
- Support contract development and partnership negotiations.
- Collaborate with Center leadership, faculty experts, and operations staff to ensure successful delivery of programs and services.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue generation.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform program development, pricing, and strategic planning.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to business development performance and partnership outcomes.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designee.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Higher Education Administration, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Human Resources, Workforce Development, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of professional experience in business development, sales, account management, partnership development, workforce development, consulting, higher education outreach, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in generating revenue, cultivating strategic partnerships, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience managing a full sales cycle, including prospecting, relationship development, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and account management.
- Strong communication, presentation, networking, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior leaders, executives, HR professionals, administrators, and organizational decision-makers.
- Experience balancing revenue goals with long-term relationship development and organizational mission.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments and stakeholder groups.
