This role is designed for a remote work setting, utilizing telehealth technology to engage with clients across various demographics and locations. Equipped with advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, our counselors maintain efficient, confidential, and organized case documentation, enhancing both client care and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth initial consultations and interviews, thoroughly documenting case histories from inception through to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing standardized assessment tools and therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans addressing the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress in accordance with treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary for optimal care.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, social workers, and nursing staff, to coordinate holistic intervention strategies.

• Provide essential follow-up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding patients who have required hospital admission.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate risks, while empowering clients to adopt healthier coping mechanisms.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges related to their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wisdom Within, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological conditions. Your insights and interventions will directly impact your clients’ quality of life, helping them navigate complex emotional landscapes and develop resilience in the face of adversity.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Substantial experience as a mental health counselor is essential in this role.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring conditions and treatment for addiction disorders.
\n
• Awareness of best practice standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a telehealth capacity, with a strong ability to engage with clients through virtual platforms.

• Knowledge of the psychopharmacology of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
