Work Environment\n

This role operates within a telehealth context, allowing our counselors to connect with clients via secure digital platforms. This innovative approach not only breaks geographical barriers but also enhances accessibility for clients seeking support, particularly those facing mobility challenges or geographical limitations. You will work standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a manageable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, specifically focusing on the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms.

• Work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize their goals, preferences, and specific therapeutic needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and practical self-care strategies to aid in their recovery.

• Monitor clients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care and continuity throughout treatment.

• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mental health treatment, contributing to the clinic's overall knowledge base and service quality.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans to comply with state regulations and ethical standards.

• Engage in team collaboration through case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

• Advocate for your clients by helping reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders and championing their mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population primarily consists of individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Each therapist is encouraged to adopt a holistic approach in treatment, focusing on the individual’s strengths and unique circumstances, while fostering a therapeutic alliance that empowers clients to engage actively in their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMFT, LMFT, or LCPC in the state of Maryland.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based methodologies including CBT and DBT, with a strong foundation in psychopharmacology.

Compensation and Benefits\n
