Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews, documenting detailed cases from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
\n
• Assessing clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through clinical evaluations and standardized assessments.
\n
• Developing actionable treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client.
\n
• Leading individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating open discussions, and providing therapeutic interventions that encourage personal growth and healing.
\n
• Continuously monitoring clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and circumstances.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to maintain a coordinated approach to client care.
\n
• Coordinating with healthcare providers for follow-ups on clients admitted to hospitals to ensure integrated care.
\n
• Identifying behaviors that could impede recovery and employing preventive strategies to mitigate those challenges.
\n
• Providing guidance to family members and primary caregivers on managing mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse patient population, including individuals with various mental health conditions, couples experiencing relational challenges, and families managing complex emotional issues. You will work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders, among other mental health challenges. Our goal is to empower clients through evidence-based interventions and compassionate care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Successful completion and passing score of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong clinical skills, demonstrated through previous mental health counseling experience.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, is required.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is highly recommended.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for building rapport with clients and their families.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic disposition, essential for fostering an environment of trust and safety.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in managing complex cases involving underlying physical health conditions as well as emotional disturbances.
\n
• Understanding of various addiction disorders and the treatment modalities associated with them.
\n
• Knowledge of the impacts of medication prescribed by healthcare specialists on mental health is an asset.
