Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs of students, keeping in mind any underlying medical conditions that may affect their mental health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate strategies for addressing both mental and physical health issues, ensuring holistic care for each student.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to the unique circumstances of each student.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including school counselors, medical professionals, and social workers, to provide a coordinated approach to care that fosters improved outcomes for students.

• Administer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, equipping students with coping strategies and resources.

• Educate students and their families on the relationship between mental and physical health, empowering them to take an active role in managing their conditions.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in maintaining accurate and confidential records of patient care.

• Participate in regular case conferences and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest advancements in integrated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse student population, addressing mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and trauma-related challenges. Given our organization's commitment to integrated care, you will also support students dealing with co-occurring medical conditions, providing them with the tools necessary for achieving overall wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Attested ability to assess and address mental health needs, particularly in clients with complex medical histories.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for effective collaboration with students, families, and a multidisciplinary care team.

• Capacity to maintain ethical boundaries and confidentiality, providing a trusting environment for clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computer applications commonly used in mental health practice.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in clinical mental health, ideally with school-based or adolescent populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
