Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our hospital facility in Ossining, where we provide a range of urgent care services. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling a work-life balance while ensuring that you are an integral part of our healthcare delivery system.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ensuring accurate diagnostic evaluations to identify patient needs promptly.
• Perform minor surgical interventions and procedures, such as wound suturing or casting, under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Document all patient encounters meticulously, maintaining clear and accurate records of treatments, medications, and follow-up plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, actively contributing to achieving optimal patient health outcomes.
• Educate patients regarding their medical conditions, available treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications, empowering them to take charge of their health.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care protocols within the urgent care department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse population in the community, with a variety of urgent health issues ranging from minor injuries to acute illnesses. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program is required.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.
• Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, which are essential to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or similar setting.

Compensation and Benefits
