Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to assess health status and determine potential diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies, to develop accurate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage diverse health conditions, promoting evidence-based practices within the family medicine specialty.
• Create tailored treatment plans for patients, particularly focusing on chronic and infectious diseases, with an emphasis on health education.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients’ responses, making adjustments as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain detailed and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and aiding in continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a relevant setting, preferably in a family health clinic.
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on family medicine.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in practice.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
• Possession of a valid DEA registration number.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
