Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team at Premier Physician Assistant Services, based in the vibrant community of Yorktown Heights, New York. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review comprehensive medical histories of patients to inform treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging studies to arrive at accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions commonly encountered in family medicine, following clinical guidelines.
• Formulate, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute health issues, ensuring effective management of their conditions.
• Prescribe pharmaceutical treatments and monitor patient responses, adjusting medications as necessary to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in documentation.
• Educate patients and their families regarding their health conditions, treatment options, wellness strategies, and preventive care measures.
• Promote and support healthy lifestyle choices, guiding patients on preventive health practices and regular health assessments.
• Stay abreast of advancements in primary care through ongoing professional development and involvement in relevant training or conferences.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in family medicine or a similar healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and standards of patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to demonstrate ethics, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach in all aspects of care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Physician Assistant, with emphasis on primary care or surgical support roles.
• A DEA number for prescribing medications for patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
