Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Top Care Health Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial evaluations for personal injury cases, assessing patient health and coordinating care plans accordingly.
• Prescribing medications as applicable, including NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, and medicated patches, while ensuring patient education on proper usage.
• Ordering necessary diagnostic imaging studies, such as MRIs, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct remote patient consultations, ensuring continuity of care even when in-person visits are not possible.
• Making appropriate referrals to physical therapists and specialists in Pain Management, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration for comprehensive care.
• Managing and documenting patient medical records in adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care that addresses both immediate health concerns and long-term wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a wide array of patients, including those suffering from acute and chronic pain. The diverse patient population includes individuals with musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical recovery cases, and patients dealing with complex health issues requiring coordinated care.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant or a related field, with a strong educational foundation in clinical practices.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

• At least 2 years of experience in Pain Management or a related field.
• Experience working in a collegiate or hospital setting, with familiarity in managing complex pain management cases.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
