Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including complete physical examinations, to establish clinical diagnoses related to pain conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings while collaborating with supervising physicians as necessary.
• Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions, explaining the treatment rationale to patients and their families to ensure understanding and adherence.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, including laboratory tests and imaging studies, to diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Consult with other healthcare team members regarding patient care plans and treatment modalities, promoting a comprehensive care strategy.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve the therapeutic goals set for each patient.
• Engage in patient education, providing resources and strategies for managing pain and improving overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients experiencing a range of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. You will engage with diverse patient demographics, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and preferences while emphasizing empathetic care and support.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Must possess an active license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in pain management or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits
