As an onsite Nurse Practitioner in our hospital setting located in Yorktown Heights, New York, you will experience a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing chronic pain to formulate accurate diagnoses.
• Develop targeted treatment plans that incorporate both medication management and alternative approaches, including physical therapy and counseling.
• Implement medication protocols and closely monitor patient responses, adjusting prescriptions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate follow-up care and monitor progress through ongoing assessments and revisions to treatment plans as needed.
• Engage with support staff—including counselors and rehabilitation specialists—to ensure a multidimensional approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Pain Management Department caters primarily to adult patients who suffer from chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and post-operative pain syndromes. The role requires sensitivity and understanding toward patients who may be experiencing emotional distress alongside physical discomfort. Your expertise will play a critical role in guiding them through their treatment journey and helping them regain control of their lives.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Active licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
• Background in Pain Management or a related field, demonstrating clinical skills pertinent to this specialty.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically in Pain Management.
• Familiarity with interventional pain management techniques and multidisciplinary treatment planning is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting.
