Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality care in accordance with established national standards and practices. This includes assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient health conditions effectively.
• Collaborate closely with office staff to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring that clinic workflows run smoothly.
• Act as a liaison between practice management, hospital administration, and clinical staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
• Promote a unified identity within the care team, advocating for the values and goals of F. F. Thompson Health.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring that all patient care activities meet legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide patient management, including follow-ups and preventative care, while fostering a patient-centered approach to practice.
• Document patient care records accurately and comprehensively within two business days, ensuring regulatory and billing standards are met.
• Participate in the development and implementation of best practices and protocols that align with evolving healthcare requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending training and education sessions to maintain a high level of clinical competency.
• Serve as a leader within the clinic, showcasing professionalism and empathy in all patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will provide care primarily to elderly residents and adults with varying levels of complexity in chronic and acute conditions. Understanding the specific age-related needs of this patient population is crucial. This includes being well-versed in age-related physical, emotional, and social aspects that influence their health and healthcare decisions.

Qualifications

• Current certification/registration in New York State as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification is required.
• Possession of a DEA license is essential.
• Ability to gain the necessary privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical or assisted living setting is highly preferred.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging in community healthcare initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
