Work Environment

This role is based at a primary school in Cortlandt Manor, New York, allowing you to interact with a diverse range of children and families. Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems effectively to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.
• Prescribe medications according to standardized protocols, tailoring dosages based on individual patient assessments and characteristics.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (X-rays), to enable accurate diagnoses.
• Conduct thorough assessments by analyzing patient history, symptoms, and physical examination results to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, ensuring patient-centered approaches and seamless transitions through varying levels of health services.
• Participate in health education initiatives within the school environment, advocating for preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner at Complete Care Healthcare Services, you will primarily serve a pediatric population, addressing a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in managing illnesses, wellness checks, immunizations, managing allergies, and chronic conditions such as asthma. Emphasis on health maintenance and preventive care will be a key focus to promote lasting health outcomes for students and their families.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or an accredited Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program.
• Current national certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• An active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• US work authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in work scheduling to meet clinic hours and patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using EHR systems for managing patient documentation.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and the school community.

Compensation and Benefits
