VitalEdge PA is seeking a dedicated and energetic full-time Physician Assistant to become an integral part of our pain management team in Ossining, New York. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Ossining surgical center, a facility designed for effective and efficient patient care. Working in a collaborative atmosphere, you'll interact with a diverse array of healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive treatment plans for our patients. The standard workweek consists of 40 hours, from Monday to Friday, typically concluding at 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate patient conditions.
• Administer therapeutic injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate patient symptoms.
• Prescribe medications and recommend pain management strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting observations and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families regarding pain management techniques, treatment options, and health maintenance strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate schedules to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Take part in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and improve care protocols.
• Oversee patients’ overall health, promoting preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Engage in continuous professional development through research and participation in relevant medical discourse.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at VitalEdge PA, you will work primarily with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions. This population may include individuals with a history of injuries, surgeries, or complex medical histories that require specialized management services. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will significantly impact their quality of life, helping them regain functionality and comfort.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Valid Physician Assistant license issued by the state of New York.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• Possession of a valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and NPI (National Provider Identifier) number.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of proven clinical experience in a healthcare setting, such as a clinic or hospital.
• Experience in pain management or related specialty is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey medical information to patients and families.

Compensation and Benefits

VitalEdge PA offers competitive compensation, with a salary range of USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to support your transition into our team.
