Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in White Plains, New York. Here, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure integrated care delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess pain symptoms and medical histories, using established clinical protocols.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include prescribing non-narcotic medications, physical therapy, and recommending interventional procedures.
• Order and interpret imaging studies and other diagnostic tests as part of comprehensive patient assessments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring documentation reflects current findings, treatment plans, and patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management options, addressing any concerns or questions regarding treatment processes.
• Collaborate closely with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate coordinated care.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in pain management and best practices.
• Work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a manageable work-life balance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on patients experiencing a variety of chronic pain issues. You will provide care for individuals with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, nerve pain, and post-surgical pain. Your role is crucial in helping patients navigate their pain management journey, improving their quality of life through effective treatment strategies and compassionate support.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field from an accredited program.
• An active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong proficiency in performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing appropriate treatments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with confidence, as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least three years of clinical experience in a pain management or related specialty, with proven skills in patient assessment and management.
• Familiarity with pain management protocols, evidence-based practices, and standard procedures within a surgical context.
• Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient data and documentation effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
