Full-Time Physician Assistant in Interventional Pain Management

We are actively seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our Interventional Pain Management team at Care Medical, located in White Plains, New York. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work directly with patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, utilizing advanced interventional techniques in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Work Environment

This position is located within a hospital setting, offering a full-time schedule with onsite responsibilities. You can expect a friendly and professional environment, where teamwork is valued and each member plays a crucial role in patient outcomes. The workweek can be structured as either a 4-day or 5-day week, with shift options from 10 AM to 6 PM or 11 AM to 7 PM. Our team sees a patient volume of approximately 25 patients per day, ensuring a dynamic yet manageable workload.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Care Medical, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient consultations and follow-up evaluations, which involve detailed reviews of medical histories and comprehensive physical examinations.
• Performing advanced interventional procedures including ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, with the goal of alleviating patient discomfort.
• Reviewing and analyzing patient lab results, diagnostic imaging, and progress notes from physical therapy to inform treatment plans.
• Managing the care of both acute and chronic pain patients, which encompasses administering injections, performing minor surgical procedures, monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications as necessary.
• Triage patient calls and respond effectively to medical emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely care.
• Documenting all relevant patient information accurately in our electronic medical records system, Modernizing Medicine, to maintain the integrity of care and facilitate inter-provider communication.
• Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physical therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors, to develop holistic treatment approaches.
• Participating in community outreach activities to promote our services and generate new patient referrals, while providing hope and expert medical advice to those in need.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of practical experience in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to pain management or related disciplines.
• New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on patient education and relationship-building.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in interventional pain management or familiarity with advanced interventional procedures will be given preference, as this background will enhance their ability to contribute effectively from day one.

Compensation and Benefits

Care Medical offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, team members are eligible for performance bonuses of up to USD 20,000, further enhancing the overall compensation package.
