Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to establish care priorities.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans in partnership with physicians, referencing current best practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and pain management specialists, to optimize patient care strategies.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Perform pain management procedures, such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, once credentialed, to provide immediate relief to patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress, using EMR/EHR systems to maintain accurate and timely health records.
• Engage in continuing education and training opportunities, contributing to an evolving understanding of pain management techniques and patient care advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals grappling with chronic pain, including but not limited to conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neurological pain disorders. The Physician Assistant will be instrumental in understanding the multifaceted nature of these conditions and delivering sensitive and informed care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of living with chronic pain.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in pain management or a closely related field is necessary.
• Proficient in medical documentation and familiar with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient communication and record-keeping.
• Ability to work autonomously while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding toward individuals experiencing chronic pain.

Compensation and Benefits
