Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by gathering comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care strategies, ensuring all aspects of patient health are addressed.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and interventions, adhering closely to the principles of evidence-based practice.
• Perform pain management procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, following credentialing protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as required based on ongoing assessments.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records through the EMR/EHR system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuous education and training, staying abreast of the latest best practices in pain management to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on a diverse patient population ranging from those suffering from acute post-surgical pain to chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and neuropathic pain. Your role as a Physician Assistant will involve working closely with these patients to identify their unique challenges and help them navigate their healing journey through comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Completion of a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or a closely related field.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and proficient medical documentation practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
