Work Environment

Located in scenic Rye, New York, our facility provides a supportive and dynamic work environment where healthcare professionals can thrive. As a Physician Assistant, you will work onsite in our Surgical Center, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. This role requires working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a predictable schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with various pain conditions, ensuring meticulous documentation of medical histories and treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized care plans, focusing on pain management strategies that include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and lifestyle recommendations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, proactively responding to test results with appropriate follow-up actions and patient communications.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, emphasizing the importance of preventive care and ongoing health maintenance.
• Coordinate care with specialists when necessary, facilitating referrals that improve patient outcomes while ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical staff meetings, contributing to the development of departmental policies aimed at enhancing productivity and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will primarily work with patients dealing with acute and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, from children to seniors, many of whom face complex health challenges. The emphasis is on understanding each patient’s unique circumstances and tailoring treatment plans to address their specific pain management needs, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Current, active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally within a Pain Management or related healthcare setting.
• Strong assessment skills, with the ability to analyze complex medical histories and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Exemplary communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical or inpatient setting, particularly related to pain management or rehabilitation.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Compensation and Benefits
