Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients dealing with chronic pain conditions.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assist in the evaluation of patients and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with case managers to facilitate patient discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization.
• Actively engage with referrals from other healthcare providers, offering specialized consultation and treatment recommendations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient encounters that comply with insurance requirements, and manage appeals for any claim denials promptly.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, including potential on-call duties to ensure patient access to care.
• Participate in case reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at elevating the standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients dealing with chronic pain, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or experiencing conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or neuropathic pain. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• The candidate must possess an active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
