Work Environment

Your work will be performed onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, which is designed to facilitate collaboration among healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and treatment technologies, promoting an environment where you can deliver effective and timely patient care. The work schedule operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet dynamic work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with various levels of pain, obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Deliver preventative healthcare services, including routine check-ups, immunizations, and screenings while emphasizing pain management strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results, formulating differential diagnoses and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage patient care by formulating treatment plans involving medication prescriptions, recommendations for physical therapy, and referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Actively engage in patient education regarding health maintenance, pain management techniques, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient encounters meticulously, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records to facilitate follow-up and ongoing care.
• Maintain awareness of psychosocial factors that may impact patient health, working to provide comprehensive case management and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physician Assistant in Pain Management will involve treating a diverse patient population that includes both children and adults. You will provide care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, including those recovering from surgical procedures. By understanding each individual’s unique circumstances and health journeys, you will be able to tailor your approach to their specific needs, thus enhancing the effectiveness of treatment and fostering better patient engagement.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• An active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• At least 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with a strong focus on areas related to pain management.
• Proven proficiency in multitasking and strong time management capabilities, essential for managing a diverse caseload efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers.
• Strong customer service orientation, ensuring a professional experience both in-person and over the phone.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and experience in documentation best practices.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team settings, especially in surgical or pain management environments.
• Knowledge of current pain management techniques and treatment modalities, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a solid base salary, our benefits program includes:
