Work Environment

The Surgical Center in Scarsdale, New York, offers an inviting, state-of-the-art facility where you’ll work onsite with a team of compassionate healthcare professionals. Your typical workweek will consist of 40 hours from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. Our facility emphasizes collaborative care, promoting an environment where healthcare providers can engage seamlessly across disciplines to enhance the patient experience. Here, you will find robust support from nursing staff and administrative personnel to help you focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, developing evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and order essential diagnostic tests to accurately evaluate pain-related conditions.
• Administer therapeutic injections such as trigger point and joint injections as part of a comprehensive pain management strategy.
• Prescribe medications consistent with best practices, and provide ongoing pain management recommendations tailored to individual patient profiles.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes and modifying treatment plans in response to patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on effective pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications and therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and strategize patient care options.
• Ensure thorough records and schedule management to facilitate optimal patient flow and care continuity.
• Incorporate patient education regarding health conditions and prescribed medications, enhancing their overall understanding and compliance.
• Champion preventative health measures and promote good health practices within the community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, conducting research as opportunities arise to advance clinical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role directly impacts a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. You will work with patients from various age groups and backgrounds, ensuring that each individual receives quality, patient-centered care. The Physician Assistant will address needs ranging from post-operative pain management to chronic pain syndromes, creating a significant pathway to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program is required.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Possession of a DEA and NPI number is essential.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings, with relevant skills in assessment and treatment.
• Strong clinical orientation with a passion for patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or specialization in pain management or related medical fields is highly preferred.
• Prior exposure to regulatory and patient care protocols is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this full-time position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
