Work Environment

This position is strictly onsite at our hospital facility in Yonkers, allowing for direct and immediate patient care interactions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations for patients with personal injuries, utilizing effective assessment techniques to determine treatment plans.
• Prescribe appropriate medications including NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, and topical anesthetics, while monitoring patient responses to treatments.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, including MRI scans, to assess patient conditions accurately.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote consultations, expanding access to our services and ensuring continuity of care for patients who may be unable to visit in person.
• Ensure timely and accurate referrals to physical therapy and other specialists in the field of pain management when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive, compliant documentation of patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and data integrity.
• Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to deliver holistic and coordinated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation from injuries. Your compassionate approach will cater to patients from various backgrounds, addressing not only physical health but also emotional and psychological aspects of recovery.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and build rapport with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in pain management or related fields is preferred, candidates with strong clinical backgrounds in other areas will also be considered. Experience in environments that focus on holistic and patient-centered care is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
