As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with board-certified physicians and a team of nurses, therapists, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans for pain-related conditions.
• Perform outpatient procedures such as joint injections and nerve blocks, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive care, tracking and monitoring patient outcomes throughout treatment.
• Manage an average caseload of 16 patients daily, providing exceptional care and attention to each individual's needs.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients experiencing chronic pain, including those with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. The diverse demographic of Astoria provides a rich opportunity to engage with patients from various cultural backgrounds, requiring culturally competent care and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current and active New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Active DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Demonstrated capability and confidence in performing outpatient procedures related to pain management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a pain management, orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in managing complex patient cases, including hands-on procedural skills relevant to the Pain Management specialty.

Compensation and Benefits
