Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite within a dynamic hospital environment, where team-based care is paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate health conditions and establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans in partnership with physicians, adjusting strategies based on patient progress.
• Perform thorough physical exams, order necessary diagnostic tests, and interpret the results to inform treatment decisions.
• Administer various types of injections, including but not limited to trigger point and joint injections, as part of pain management protocols.
• Prescribe medications, ensuring adherence to best practices in pain management.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting all findings to maintain comprehensive health records.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management options and strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their health care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively discuss complex cases and optimize care delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Promote good health practices through community outreach and patient education initiatives.
• Advance professional knowledge by engaging in continuous learning and contributing to clinical research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily cater to adult patients with chronic pain conditions, including those stemming from musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical recovery, and complex pain syndromes. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Current PA-C certification is required.
• A DEA certificate and a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number are essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment and clinical management in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also provide a generous benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates.
