About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Marketing to lead the strategic and operational marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, and demand generation. This role is pivotal in the company's transition to a sales-led approach, and the VP of Marketing will be instrumental in building out the marketing function to support this shift. Key responsibilities include owning the marketing narrative, leading a small team, and sitting at the leadership table with the credibility to define and champion marketing within the organization. Experience in maritime (ocean and shipping) or defense and security is essential, with a preference for candidates who have a background in both. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling B2B SaaS, particularly in the range of $5M to $50M+ or $50M to $100M. The role requires a hands-on, player-coach approach, with a focus on strong product marketing, operational discipline in marketing metrics, and the ability to work closely with sales and RevOps. The VP of Marketing should have executive presence and be an A-player capable of engaging with the leadership team and driving the marketing agenda.
