Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to provide care remotely while being an integral part of our outpatient office team. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of elderly patients, with a focus on understanding their unique needs and psychological challenges.

• Formulate, execute, and monitor personalized treatment plans that consider cognitive health, physical health, social dynamics, and individual preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, aimed at addressing specific geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, facilitating continuity and comprehensiveness.

• Educate patients and their families regarding various mental health issues, treatment modalities, community resources, and strategies for managing their conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing specialized mental health services to the elderly population, who often face unique challenges related to aging, such as memory loss, depression, anxiety, and social isolation. As a therapist, you will help empower these individuals, allowing them to reclaim their quality of life and navigate the complexities of their conditions with dignity and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Psychologist in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in geriatric mental health.

• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health issues, informed approaches, and evidence-based treatment practices.

• Profound experience providing therapy to elderly clients and their families.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, demonstrating a patient-centered, empathetic approach.

• Able to build rapport and trust with both elderly patients and their family members.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant software applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
