Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in your sessions.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Working with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists and other medical professionals to promote integrated care for clients.
\n
• Staying informed of the latest research and treatment advancements in mood disorders to enhance your therapeutic approach.

• Maintaining compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards in your clinical records.

• Actively participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Advocating for clients' needs and addressing stigma associated with mental health in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with diverse populations who may face additional challenges, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Understanding their unique circumstances and building a therapeutic alliance is essential for delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
