Shift: 12-Hour Nights (12H Nights)

Hours/Week: 36-40 hours/week (based on 3-4 shifts)

Employment Type: Contract (W-2)

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience in an acute care setting

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for patients with telemetry needs, including cardiac monitoring, post-surgical recovery, and management of cardiac gtts such as Dobutamine and Cardizem
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
• Support and educate patients recovering from cardiac procedures, dialysis, or other medical-surgical conditions
• Complete charting and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR accurately and timely
• Assist with unit operations, such as phlebotomy and patient assessments
• Maintain compliance with all safety and clinical protocols, including EKG competency

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one
• 2+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience in an acute care environment
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam in advance of start date
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (preferred), PIV, central line care, and post-surgical recovery skills

• Previous telemetry experience, including care for patients with pacemakers, CHF, or post-Cath lab recovery
• Experience with non-titrating cardiac gtts and IV pumps
