Advanced Practice Provider NP/PA - Adult & Pediatric Care

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a full-time outpatient primary care team. This role supports a busy, collaborative Internal Medicine and Pediatrics practice, focusing mainly on acute and sick visits while also delivering comprehensive preventive and follow-up care across all ages. The provider will offer overflow coverage within a team of physicians and will not manage an independent patient panel.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and manage acute and sick visits for both pediatric and adult patients
Perform well child checks and sports physicals
Conduct Medicare Annual Wellness Exams
Complete hospital follow-up visits for adults with complex medical conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatment plans, and provide patient education
Follow up on diagnostic test results, including those received after hours
Collaborate closely with physicians and support staff to deliver high-quality, team-based care
Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
Consult with on-site physicians as needed; physician support is always available

Practice Environment:

Outpatient-only setting with no inpatient responsibilities
No after-hours call duties
Team-based model supporting multiple Internal Medicine and Pediatric physicians
Collaborative team includes experienced Advanced Practice Providers
Robust clinical and administrative support staff
On-site physician supervision and consultation available at all times

Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Board certified and eligible for state licensure
Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience with strong background in both adult and pediatric care (Family Medicine)
Proven ability to manage complex patients and thrive in a high-volume clinical environment
Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
Commitment to maintaining required continuing medical education

Licensure and Certifications:

Certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants or equivalent for Nurse Practitioners
Licensed to practice in the relevant state

Work Shift: First shift, 40 hours per week
